🧩 chrome extension
vote without leaving X. a "give a shit" pill next to every author in your feed, a big one on profiles. open source, no store, no tracking.
every tweet gets a pill next to the author. click, pick an emoji, done. the pill turns into the live score.
tier, shit score and vote count under the header. biohazard shows in red before you read a word.
profiles you visit report their follower counts and avatar to shit.so. the community carries its own data.
install (2 minutes)
not on the chrome web store yet. it is a small zip; you load it yourself and you can read every line of it.
- 1 download the zip and unzip it · source: github
- 2 open chrome://extensions and turn on "Developer mode" (top right)
- 3 click "Load unpacked" and pick the unzipped folder
- 4 sign in once on shit.so. that is it, open X.
the extension talks only to shit.so. it reads nothing from your X account beyond what is on the page in front of you.
🔍 don't trust, verify
the zip is rebuilt from the same source as the public repo on every deploy, with a fixed timestamp. same source, same bytes, same hash.
run this next to the zip. the output must match the line below.

🚫 no cookies, tabs, history, downloads or "all sites" access. chrome shows the same list when you load it.
we ask X for users.read and tweet.read, used once at sign-in to read your handle, avatar and follower count. we cannot tweet, like, follow or DM as you, and we do not keep a token after login. revoke anytime in X settings, connected apps.
